Hey, hi, hello!
As a lover of life and art, Jessica is constantly looking for the beauty in the world around her. She grew up in Louisiana, where Mardi Gras had its own season, good food and music were paramount, and there was beauty wherever you looked.
Since marrying her husband—a United States Navy sailor—she’s lived in South Carolina, immersed herself in the cultures of Hawai’i, and embraced the cold of Washington. She and her husband have two beautiful daughters, a dog, and a menace in cat form. Though her life is uniformed chaos, a mix of highs and lows between deployments and homecomings, she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Throughout Jessica’s life, books have always been her safe haven, using the written word to escape to lands of mythical creatures and happily ever afters. It’s what sparked her love of writing, what drove her to journal and craft short stories, and what eventually led her to publish her own.
When she’s not reading, writing, or spending time with her family, she can usually be found crafting in one way or another. Whether it’s painting, sewing, messing with clay, or trying something new, she’s always looking for a creative outlet.
The beach and the bookstore are her happy places, tattoos are her therapy, and though she loves coffee, she could live off of Dr. Pepper. As a Louisiana native, she’s a lover of spice… both in food and books.
